JBAS010441: Failed to load module for driver [com.mysql.jdbc] [FIXED] [SOLVED]

How to installing mysql on jboss 7.2.0 FINAL with module…ok let’s check it out..

1. at first create a directory mysql/main/, on JBOSSHOME/modules/

2. download mysql jdbc connector at here http://cdn.mysql.com/Downloads/Connector-J/mysql-connector-java-5.1.30.tar.gz , ok i’m using jdbc mysql version 5.1.30

3. create module.xml on inside /mysql/main/, and copied this

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<module xmlns="urn:jboss:module:1.1" name="mysql">

   <resources>
     <resource-root path="mysql-connector-java-5.1.30-bin.jar"/>
   </resources>
   <dependencies>
     <module name="javax.api"/>
     <module name="javax.transaction.api"/>
   </dependencies>
 </module>

4. extract jdbc mysql connector and copy mysql-connector-java-5.1.30-bin.jar to folder JBOSSHOME/modules/mysql/main/

 

5. start your jboss…with ./standlone.sh

 

6. and after jboss running well start ./jboss-cli.sh –connect

7. Ok, adding mysql driver into jboss with this

/subsystem=datasources/jdbc-driver=mysql-5-driver:add(driver-name=mysql-5-driver, driver-class-name=com.mysql.jdbc.Driver, driver-module-name=mysql)

8. ok after that all, running shutdown your jboss and running again, error gone.

 

9. setting your connection on jboss profile
